Who is this training for?
Pre-Service Dementia Training is a required training for all APD adult foster care home licensees, co-licensees, administrators, resident managers, shift caregivers, and substitute caregivers in Oregon.

What will you learn?
Participants will better understand how dementia affects individuals and their care needs, incorporate principles of person-centered care and provide a supportive care environment, meet the psychosocial needs of residents living with dementia, provide meaningful activities, understand care considerations for persons living with dementia, and recognize safety considerations.

How long is the training?
This course will be offered as s 2.5-hour, engaging, live webinar taught by experienced professionals and former Alzheimer's Association staff.
